Once again I managed to snag the claim of a fellow fan artist, this time geckoholic, and feel very intimidated. Luckily she seems to like my interpretations of her fic.

Summary: S6 AU (sort of), goes off from canon roundabout halfway into Swan Song:
Michael didn't take Adam as his vessel for the final fight, so after the devil went off wearing Sam,Dean says yes as well. But the fight that followed got interrupted, for reasons neither Sam nor Dean remember. Both angels and demons seemingly packed up and left, and what's left behind is a world that got shaken by a bunch of natural disasters.

Two years later the brothers and Castiel still struggle with the aftermath of the apocalypse and
everything that led up to it when Sam starts to behave strangely. But Lucifer is gone . . Or is he?

Well hello, circle. (and flist, though LJ is currently not loading for me.) I have news for you of the fic related variety!

A. I received some really fucking awesome fics for this year's Remix Redux.

Okay so, this is based on my SPN Reversebang fic from last year. Not gonna lie, my favorite part of that fic was premise, courtesy of the awesome artist. (The premise for the majority of you who won't remember is this: Anna was the one who pulled Dean from hell, while Cas fell.) My anon remixer took that same premise and made it so so much better.

And then I got a Remix Madness fic!

No Happy Endings (Once Upon a Time Remix) (100 words) by Anonymous

Oh, this is just a little bite of awesome. Uriel is my favorite character who has appeared on this show and the anon author managed to encapsulate him perfectly. ♥

B. (You didn't think there wouldn't be a B, did you?) I also wrote for Remix. In fact, I wrote 4 fics. (Two in regular, two in Madness.) Guess what they are and get either 3 custom icons or a ficlet.

2. According to Ao3, I have only written one of them before.


3. All the fics are over 1000 words and under 3000.

Also, I know I am the least secretive, so you can't claim the prize if I already told you what I wrote.

I suppose I should explain my absence from DW/LJ, seeing as I haven't posted in a month and a half. But really, it can all be explained away by the fact that while my real life isn't yet super busy, I am trying very hard to make it so.

Among things I have done in the meantime:

• Earned money for my art and design skills. (Hopefully this won't be anything of note by this time next year, but for now I am letting myself be happy I have found a way to earn my keep doing something I love.)


• Gone to an Erotic Reading Room at a bar. I found myself wondering what percentage of the people there were from fandom.


• Signed up for writing in a big bang. I only have about 2k words written so far, but I think I can do this. I do not, however, think anyone else will want to read it. (For I am actually writing the Supernatural/The Wire crossover I started. The problem is the balance. All 2k words so far are from Michael's (The Wire) POV and the Winchesters have yet to make an appearance.)


• Written three Supernatural drabbles. This was done entirely to qualify for Remix. I loved pinch hitting last year, but wanted to be able to play for real. The only fandom I qualified for was The Wire, which obviously didn't make their list. Therefore the drabbles. I was amused to find I had the same thought processes last year, which is why I only needed three new drabbles to get me to the minimum.


• All my fic is up on AO3 now. Looking at it all assembled there makes me realize just how little I have written. There are a couple comment fics I need to clean up a bit and add, but as it stands now, I have only written 32 fics in all my years of fandom, 6 of which are drabbles. (Unsurprisingly, most of my writing has come out of Yuletide. 18 out of 32, in fact.)

Summary: Months after the Yellow-Eyed Demon and Jake opened the Devil's Gate in Wyoming, Sam and Dean are tracking a series of vampire-related abductions across the western coast of the United States. Their hunt brings them to Forks, Washington: site of the latest disappearances. While there, Sam sees the one that got away, Dean meets a man whose entire family is hiding something, and they learn that vampires are the least of their problems.

Fic: Burning the Days

Fic Warnings: references to Hell, light bloodplay, minor language
Summary: When Dean and Cas show up in time to stop Sam killing Lilith, Team Free Will are all set to settle back into a life of saving people and hunting things - but nothing's perfect. Dean's a jerk who can't keep it in his pants; Cas feels there's plenty of room in his for the both of them. Sam's sure you can't be fuckbuddies with an angel and he's going to prove it - just as soon as he finishes scouring his eyeballs with soap.


But when Cas becomes Heaven's Most Wanted and the cops figure out the boys aren't as dead as they should be, Dean and Cas may prove to be both more and less obtuse than expected.

A couple days ago I got an email from the spn_j2_bigbang mods that a fic had been posted, but the artist never posted their art. As I am helpless to ever say no (see the year I betaed 20+ fics for Yuletide) I agreed to pinch hit. This isn't my typical style, as it isn't a fic I would normally choose. But it was an interesting experience!

Fic: Nowhere Man & the Whiskey Girl

Fic Summary: Gabriel fell long before the birth of Christ - although that was his last official mission for the home that he had deserted. The fact that he was left more-or-less alone for the first few millenia cemented his belief that their Father really had no interest in his first children any more; Heaven was no longer the same, Michael was not the same, not after the Fall. So he slipped from Heaven, and met a Trickster one day in the south of France. Their years together lead to her exhaustion of the world, and once she leaves Gabriel is the most powerful Trickster in existence. Of course, that all goes to Hell when the Apocalypse starts, and Gabriel finds his loyalties torn between the family he still loves and the new life he has forged for himself on Earth.
